Despite being one of the best paid MPs outside of parliament Farage is still shilling over on Cameo, where for £80 he'll wish your dog a happy birthday. Wonder what he'd say for a bit more?

I got dog cuddles from this absolute cutie at @hackneygreenparty.bsky.social’s Big Day Out 3. Also walked up 36 flights of stairs delivering New Year’s messages to my actual neighbours.
Great to see electoral collaboration with Hackney Independent Socialists Group too. Lots of great chats. 💚

Hackney needs a proactive cultural strategy, rela transparancy in planinng, and national protections for nightlife.

Hackney Greens are shocked and saddened to hear of the horrific attack in Bondi Beach. Our thoughts are with the victims of this senseless violence and with the Jewish and Australian communities here in the UK who are feeling shaken. An attack on people celebrating their faith is an attack on us all. This week I am joining members of the community celebrating Hannukah to light the candle on the town hall's menorah. We all need light in these dark times. We will continue to stand together in the name of love and common humanity. Councillor Zoë Garbett Hackney Green Party

Community wealth is built here with every pound we spend.
So before you buy at a big chain that funnels our money out of Hackney, think whether there's a local small business alternative you could visit or search for online.

The erosion of pay and insufficient specialty training places in the NHS is unacceptable - I have heard the impact that this is having on individual doctors as well as the impacts on services provided to patients by the NHS. I previously worked in the NHS as a children's health commissioner and also worked to address health inequalities through NHS health services. I worked closely with a range of incredible clinicians who were working hard to deliver high standards of care. NHS are staff ARE the NHS! Cllr Zoë Garbett AM Green Candidate, Mayor of Hackney Green Member of the London Assembly
The NHS wouldn't function without you and you must be treated with the respect, dignity and pay you deserve. The Green Party supports calls for a properly public funded NHS. During the2024 General Election our manifesto pledged £4.6 billion, specifically to tackle pay injustice, including settling the resident doctor dispute and funding a workforce plan designed to recruit and retain staff across the NHS. I know the decision to strike is never taken lightly. We stand in solidarity with you all. Cllr Zoë Garbett AM Green Candidate, Mayor of Hackney Green Member of the London Assembly

Hackney Green Party statement on Sudan Hackney Green Party is horrified by reports of massacres in el-Fasher, Sudan, following its capture by the Rapid Support Force (RSF) - a group accused by the UN of mass atrocities in Darfur. Our hearts go out to everyone affected. Sudan is facing the world's largest humanitarian crisis: 150,000 people killed, 12 million displaced, and 25 million in urgent need of aid. Humanitarian agencies warn that tens of thousands could die within days without access to food, water and medical care. We are deeply concerned byb credible reports that UK-made weapons exported to the United Arab Emirates have been found in RSF hands. We call on Hackney MPs to press the Government to back UN demands for humanitarian access, enforce the arms embargo, and act now to stop the massacres and deliever lifesaving aid.

Great to hang out with @carladenyer.bsky.social and @hackneygreenparty.bsky.social folk at the @greenparty.org.uk conference in Bournemouth this weekend
Such a great atmosphere; there’s huge confidence within the Greens at the moment.
I’m now a councillor in Shetland but my political roots are with @hackneygreenparty.bsky.social.
One conference highlight was meeting Dylan Law who’s standing to be Hackney’s next Deputy Mayor.
I spent so many years campaigning in Hackney; meeting talented folk like Dylan makes it all worthwhile!
