Super nerds got an early IMAX showing on Monday.

That’s the right way to go into it. But thankfully there are no noticeable “F&F” moments where they suddenly shift into some magic gear or anything like that.

The way the trailers are cut make the plot seem more unrealistic/silly than it actually winds up being. But any F1 fan will still want to go in with an open mind.

The cinematography alone is worth the price of admission though. And props to Pitt for driving that car IRL. Saw them film in Spa/Vegas.

Normies: this is "Top Gun: Maverick" on wheels. You'll like it.

Everyone: bring AirPods Pro (for transparency mode). Just in case. Our IMAX showing was blisteringly loud. APP takes the edge off.

This is like nails on a chalkboard for me whenever it happens. I have to look away.

This is why I roll my eyes whenever I see anyone refer to a contemporary display as “end game”. We are so far away from anything like that.

It’s supposed to look great, if tone mapped correctly. The problem with desktop use is mainly ABL kicking in during productivity tasks. That should become less of a problem as panel brightness improves.

Almost definitely a bug.
