The East Wing was really cool. And beautiful. I'm so thankful I got to experience it.

14.10.2025 01:04 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0It's still very new. I expect this will get standardized. Utilizing TPM 2.0 seems like a good start.
We need better anti-cheat in sim racing, especially. Huge problem over there.
I really hope Linux compatibility gets worked out soon, but personally Iโm excited about kernel-level anti-cheat implementations. We honestly need this approach applied to all MP games.

30.09.2025 01:08 โ ๐ 81 ๐ 22 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 1Movies today universally skip the 3-5 minutes of "opening credits over establishing montage" that almost all films from this era had. It's easy to date a film like this from that aspect alone.
21.09.2025 18:25 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Not one of those people, but the answer is probably battery life. AppleCare won't replace a battery until it drops below 80%.
Luckily, the latest battery size and cooling architecture should yield a noticeable bump in longevity, but the battery is apparently also easier to replace now.
Another thing to be aware of with the โDeep Blueโ is that photos of it, including mine, make it look grey/black. IRL to my eye under the Apple Store lights it has much more color to it, and looks almost violet.
Iโve adjusted this photo in an attempt to reproduce what my eye saw.
The black Ti Air is shockingly beautiful. I was really surprised how much Iโm drawn to it now.
Need the cameras though. Otherwise I likely would have gone that way.
Store model anodization on the 17 Pro isnโt holding up well. Going bare aluminum might be the way to go.

Only real negative I can see is the limited color selection. No black!? I guess the dark blue is fine.
Also very interested in if the new glass coating is actually scratch resistant.
17 Pro's design looks like the most function-over-form we've seen from Apple in a while.
Thermals are clearly a priority. Vapor chamber. Glad to see aluminum is back. Apple's foray into titanium never made a lot of sense.
Cramming compute into the bump exposes it to air even in a case. Love this.
I donโt know how itโs possible for Apple to improve on AirPods Pro 2, but Iโm here for it.
10.09.2025 15:24 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0You can buy keyboards now that aren't even populated with switches. And the variety of switch types now is crazy. Lots of small batch, "boutique" designs now.
And it goes beyond that too, such as the bottom plate that the keycap strikes. I figured out I like polycarbonate.
I recommend getting something with replaceable switches for your next one.
The whole custom keyboard thing is a deep dark hole, but after you dial in what you like youโll have something that theoretically will be repairable and otherwise last forever.

BF has always been a staple to me. Or an entire genre.
Imagine not having any Italian food for a few years, and then suddenly having spaghetti.
That's what this feels like.
I haven't played a BF game (in anger anyway) in years, and while I am older and slower now, I'm amazed by how intact my muscle memory is.
10.08.2025 01:22 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0BF6 is great.
Tip for my fellow sim racers: you'll likely need HidHide. github.com/nefarius/Hid...
BF6, like most recent BF games, just grabs on to every HID axis it can find and ORs them all together... which results in your soldier spinning around uncontrollably unless you hide all of your gear.
Other than maybe for vehicles, I'm surprised you even attempted a controller on PC. That idea was never in the cards.
