21.02.2026 20:28 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0These are just a few of the things that happened this week, but we are pushing back.
Weβre running candidates who will fight for policies that make a real difference.
Weβre showing up in our community in mutual aid work.
Weβre building long-term plans β because itβs time we were on offense.
We are devastated for members of the queer community who now fear that their marriages will no longer be valid in TN. We stand with them and will fight for their unions.
We are horrified to learn that ICE may build a detention facility in our neighboring Wilson County. We stand with our neighbors.
We stand with you.
While we were focused on the final push to get candidates on the ballot, we remain aware of the many atrocities going on in our community.
We are thankful no one was harmed when a loaded firearm was brought by a student to a school. We stand with those seeking solutions.
Last night, at Pints for Progressives five candidates showed up to introduce themselves!
Mark your calendars now for Thursday, 3/19 as we host our 2026 Election Cycle Kickoff at Tailgate Brewery in Hendersonville!

Happy Valentineβs Day! π
Our candidates are out and about getting petition signatures all day because they love YOU and stepped up to serve their community.
The deadline to submit petitions for county commission and school board seats is this Thursday at noon. Email stillblue@sumnerdems.org
Three more candidates picked up their petitions to run for local office today, and we couldnβt be more excited.
There is still time to run. If youβre tired of not having an option on the ballot, itβs time to take a look at yourself and see if you may be that person!
Email stillblue@sumnerdems.org
If we donβt have people on the ballot, weβre just handing 35 local Republicans $6000 a year EACH to ignore us.
People are stepping up. Are you ready?
Petition deadline for county commission and school board is Thursday, February 19 at noon. Email stillblue@sumnerdems.org if youβre interested!

01.02.2026 21:20 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0When it comes to our county, almost twenty percent of our residents are Black or brown, but neither our county commission nor our school board has a single representative of color? Itβs time to change that and ensure that the Black community has a voice in our leadership.
01.02.2026 21:20 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Black history is a critical part of our history, a history that is too often white-washed and manipulated to fit certain narratives. This month, we encourage you to find ways to learn about how Black history has impacted YOU.

As of today, youth caucus has insured that the boxes at the Gallatin recycling center and the veterans home on South Water are both stocked, but we know there are many locations that will need help.

Our youth caucus has been delivering food from our drive to local blessing boxes - and theyβre telling us that the boxes are empty.
If youβre able, check out the map on our community resource page and find your closest blessing box, then drop some food off before the roads get dangerous.
Our country has been segregated for 77% of the 250 years that we have been around, and it is up to US to continue fighting for a better place where racism is not tolerated and we seek equity for all.
