Funny thing about this book. My job has a street date of 9.3 for it. But, the other day it accidentally made it to the floor. Thank god the system stopped the sale but now I’m intrigued

Popping my head in again to say I’m alive. 2 started preschool this week so I’ve been in a whirlwind. On top of that on Sept 2nd Babygirl’s checkup for her kidneys. This year has been insane. I want to read Katabasis by RF Kuang but the days go by so fast

Our time there was spent at the funeral and then clearing out my father’s home as the person he was renting to own from never let him have it. Two days to gather 37 years of memories this has been the hardest time in my life

My family kept telling me no so I carried on. I talked to my dad on the morning of June 16th letting him know I loved him June 17th he was gone. I have been reeling since we made a trip down to my hometown with our two youngest the oldest staying back to take care of the dog

Then on June 9th I received a text from my father that he was in the ER he had had bronchitis which progressed to pneumonia. His internal defibrillator had shocked his heart back into working he was in the hospital I asked several times if I should come to my hometown

This took us from March to May where she had a successful surgery. She has recovered and is doing marvelously but the constant travel cut into my reading time as I needed to be a father and partner first. I will say this was exhausting

Time to recount my year so far. So in February as most of you know my partner gave birth to our littlest child(though in actuality she was our biggest). This was met with a slew of doctors appointments as she had a kidney issue she shared with our youngest son

Finally got around to watching Sinners and damn it’s good
