In this darkness, we must hold each other tight. Listen to the pain. Support the grieving. Stand united against division and cruelty. Renee was out caring for her neighbors that's who we lost. Her kindness should inspire us, not be silenced by violence.

It's heartbreaking beyond words this senseless loss, the raw agony of injustice tearing lives apart. Renee deserved safety, not terror. No one should bury their loved one like this. Today, my heart is shattered into pieces thinking about the unimaginable tragedy that unfolded in Minneapolis. A life was taken in a split second, a mother, a daughter, a human being gone because she was caught in the crosshairs of fear and force. Her life stolen from her.💔

Actually, that phrase goes way back even further than Reagan made it famous in the 80s. The Romans had si vis pacem, para bellum (if you want peace, prepare for war).
