I have been laughing at this for a solid five minutes.

Going for a late war, end of the line defence of Okinawa look for the Imperial Japanese Army here. Two of the new plastics with one of the previous kit tucked in there - the proportions will work quite well on the table, nothing to worry about with them not fitting alongside one another!

That has been my impression at first, but reviews and impressions have been good. It feels like it'd be quick to get going once you had a few games under the belt. If nothing else it's neat seeing US Army and Marines as separate even in a WWI game!

I wonder if you've seen 1918 from WarFulcrum Games? They're very keen to help shift perception out of the muck and mire. As well as the late war focused rulebook they've got a 100 Days scenario and gaming book coming as a follow-up, suits me down to the ground.

It feels a little like there's an untouchable mythos there, which doesn't really get looked around in the same way as WWII. "It was all mud and trenches and nothing else. Except for Gallipoli. What's a Levant?"

I wish I had seen this video *before* I spent some time this morning taking pictures of my miniatures... though I think I mostly followed a similar approach and got a relatively good result after editing 😅

Oh yeah! That's the sausage. I didn't bother with the 'legs' on front because I don't need them to hold pages of a book open.

I really wish I could remember where that one came from. I know it's one of the funky free designs on Thingiverse... or at least I think? 😅

Aah, but what do you apply it to afterwards? There's the big question. Cats don't stay still for long enough and apparently it's 'graffiti' and 'defacing public property' if I go into town to find a big enough building to use as a canvas for all this paint.

Anyhow, @tabletopminions.bsky.social's 'simple tips' are always worth checking out, if only because you never know whether or not you're missing a really great tool in your arsenal, and that voice should be recording audiobooks so I don't flip out in traffic.
