White and orange chrysanthemums soak up fall sunshine.

Chrysanthemums.

A lovely gull glides under a immaculate deep blue sky. The black ring near the tip of the beak and the black wing tips with small white spots suggest this is a Ring-billed Gull. While they are not as pervasive as Laughing Gulls in our local beach ecosystem, they are fairly common. In general, our gulls in coastal Georgia still feel pretty wild —they pretty much leave you and your snacks alone when you are enjoying the beach 😊

I’m not great at 100% reliable gull IDs, but think this one’s a Ring-billed Gull.

Whatever it is, it cut an elegant figure as it glided gracefully against the vibrant #bluesky
