And then, the vote was split! Unfortunately for New Yorkers, Ranked Choice Voting is only used for the Democratic Primary. Cuomo's candidacy is sure to fracture Democratic support in the General Election.

Ranked Choice Voting (RCV) tends to produce more representative outcomes than single-choice voting!
RCV removes elements that are traditionally obstacles resulting in more diverse fields of candidates running for office.
Ranked Choice Voting has produced a consensus winner from a crowded field. The campaigns were civil and substantive. The candidates worked together to advance common interests.
This is how elections should be. This is how they can be in Santa Clara County if we make our voices heard!
