Nice people are struggling over the revelations on Gaiman, and something I keep hearing is, 'His work had a big influence on how I shaped my own identity.' So here's something to remember:

it's going to sound gimmicky but I think that women shouldn't have to read the Gaiman piece but all men should read it to the end, just as all men should have read all the long reads about the Pelicot case, so many seem to still not realise the extent to which so many men hate and want to hurt us

The Vulture article about Gaiman is incredible reporting, and the women who shared their stories are immensely brave.

I would like to echo others and say that the descriptions of sexual assault and abuse are graphic. It is okay to not read it. It is okay to stop reading it (I had to).

Read two books, then got out of the bath at 11pm as I got very sleepy all of a sudden.
Slept for 12 hours and now feel human.

Hence the bath, and a time stamped post for posterity because I have a Kindle and WiFi and unlimited hot water and dinner has been specifically chosen to be bath edible and Anthony is adulting.
I might get out before tomorrow, but it’s not guaranteed.

It was fixed by 10:25 (5 mins before my self-imposed FUCK THIS I’M GOING HOME deadline) and gradually warmed up to the point I could take my coat and gloves off but my bones are still so so very cold.

It is 19:43 and I have just sunk into the hottest of hot baths because I had to go into the office today where the heating was not working.

In interwebs terms I’ve known you for about six millennia. Blogging! Good grief.

The problem with every social media platform move is that I always had different people in different places. Twitter was book people and F1. Instagram carried some of these over then added cross stitch people because pictures. Threads has very few carry overs and many new hockey people.
