Had a great day connecting with LD20 neighbors about the issues that matter most to them and their priorities for the year ahead.
Perfect weather and beautiful gardens made it even better!
I'm running for re-election to make sure every voice is heard, every community has opportunity and every challenge is met with solutions. Together, we can deliver real results for #NebraskaFamilies. Thank you @OWHNews for this story!

To all celebrating #RoshHashanah: May you have a sweet and joyful year ahead! ππ―
Todayβs news is terrible. Gun violence knows no ideology, and it's a national crisis.
We must all have the courage to condemn it clearly and act decisively.
The beehive is buzzing! π
Yesterday we harvested honey from Jeffβs hive.

Happy Labor Day!
Grateful for the years and years of hard work that have gone into the benefits we enjoy today - safe workplaces, paid time off, minimum wage - the list goes on.
Thank a union today!
ICE camps are not welcome in Nebraska.
Information is limited right now, but we are not giving up on demanding answers and protecting our immigrant neighbors.
Swipe to see what you can do to help oppose an ICE center in Nebraska.
This community had to shut down a hospital just a few months ago due to funding cuts.
Stripping healthcare. Building cages.
This should concern every single Nebraskan, and spark a reckoning. Is this who we want to be? Have we seen enough?

Just had a great meeting with Mayor Ewing!
We talked about economic development, the future of our city, and how proud we are to call Omaha home.
Excited for whatβs ahead! ππΌ #Omaha
Nebraskaβs ABA rates attracted countless skilled providers and built one of the strongest ABA service environments in the nation.
Itβs a shame that our state leaders donβt see the value in supporting this critical workforce. Kids in Nebraska will lose care because of this decision.
Happy Independence Day!
Today Iβm reflecting on American values: freedom, equality, compassion, and opportunity - and the courage to stand up for them when they are under threat. πΊπΈ
Like many of you, I have been monitoring what has been happening nationally and the impact this has on Nebraskans.
I was proud to join a bipartisan group of colleagues this past week to encourage our federal delegation to ensure Nebraskans are not left behind.
Truly devastating. Americans need to get clear eyed about what we are facing in our country. Enough is enough.
My heart is with everyone in Minnesota.
Had an awesome time speaking with the Unicameral Youth Legislature! π
Thanks to the Clerkβs office for this program that lets high schoolers experience being a state senator.
Bonus: I got to preside over their Select File debate!
Today I toured the Harriman Dispatch Center at @UPRR β a 24/7/365 operation keeping all trains, workers, and cargo moving safe throughout the country.
This incredible operation is right in downtown Omaha - inside a concrete and steel reinforced bunker! π Bonus: my guide was a high school friend!
Thatβs a wrap on the first session of the 109th Legislature!

Iβm so proud of what weβve accomplished this year in the pursuit of a better life for all Nebraskans. Hereβs to a productive interim, and to a restorative summer βοΈ #NELeg
Thatβs a wrap - the first session of the 109th #NELeg has adjourned sine die!
Thank you to all the LD20 residents who have reached out throughout the session - please continue to do so over the interim! jfredrickson@leg.ne.gov
Stay tuned for session wrap up.
Proud. All day, every day, 24/7.

30.05.2025 22:08 β π 160 π 7 π¬ 3 π 0Trans Nebraskans - please know there will always be people standing with you in this Legislature. This is a setback, but it is not the end of our fight. #NELeg
29.05.2025 20:01 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Late yesterday, LB 89 passed the final round of floor debate. Weβve all seen this tired playbook before: using one community as a political pawn to distract from lawmakersβ failure to solve actual issues facing our State.
29.05.2025 20:01 β π 11 π 3 π¬ 1 π 0Today the #NELeg failed to override Gov Pillenβs veto of LB319 β a bill to end the lifetime SNAP ban for people with drug felony convictions.
Iβm particularly disappointed in the 6 colleagues who flipped, abandoning the Legislatureβs independence and whatβs best for Nebraskans.
Omaha: today is Election Day! π³οΈ
If you have not yet voted, make sure you get to the polls today, and donβt forget your ID!
Reentry programs arenβt luxuries - theyβre the backbone of a safer Nebraska and save taxpayer dollars in the long run. To slash these services now would be fiscally irresponsible and set our justice system back years.

These and more will be eliminated if the #NELeg passes the current draft of our state budget.
Iβm a NO on LB89 because it continues to villainize a small group of vulnerable people who are looking for leaders to stand up for them, not put a target on their back.
Iβm a YES on inviting my colleagues to wake up and pass the legislation that actually protects the next generation.

βPro-womenβ and βpro-familyβ are phrases used often by my colleagues in the Legislature.
But the thing is, many of them are more interested in lip service than ACTUALLY passing bills that protect kids from predators like LB12.
Instead, their trans youth obsession continuesβ¦
