Fruit feeds us and creates abundance for tomorrow.
In animal agriculture, a meal ends a story forever.
Here, the story keeps going.
Nourishment without taking a life.
Harvest food, not lives.

Maple loves kisses, Nori now leans in for belly rubs, while Magnolia and Cypress patiently wait for snacks. ๐ We cherish every resident and supporter who makes our sanctuary family possible. Itโs also a good reminder that the myth of โno vegan fertilizersโ is just thatโa myth. Veganic farming isnโt only possible; itโs practical and incredibly beneficial.
Thanks for following along as we keep challenging the norms of conventional agriculture and proving thereโs a better way. ๐
Instead of conventional fertilizers, often from slaughterhouse byproducts or petrochemicals, we used a calculated mix of cottonseed meal and alfalfa pellets. Both 100% plant-based, supporting soil life and nutrient availability without the ethical and ecological costs of animal agriculture.
02.07.2025 18:03 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Typically we donโt use offsite amendmentsโrelying fully on on-farm nutrient cycling and natural succession. But for our corn seed project, we decided to invest in a little extra nutrition to give this heirloom crop its best shot.

Emergency: Hazelnut Needs Help
Our baby goat Hazelnut was rushed to the vetโsheโs not eating & isolating, and weโre very worried. Please keep her in your thoughts, and if you can donate to help cover vet costs, weโd be so grateful.

Our neighbors hunt as close to our farm sanctuary as they can. ๐
Hunters claim coyotes never raise their tails and that black coyotes donโt exist. But hereโs the proof.
Coyotes do raise their tails, melanistic coyotes are real, and they are native predators. This misinformation fuels persecution and harms ecosystems

Have you ever seen a melanistic coyote or a coydog (also called a Carolina dog in the Southeast)?
18.02.2025 22:47 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Join me as I debunk these common myths, compare possible sightings of a coydog, and discuss why nonviolent land management is not only possible but necessary. Letโs talk about the real impact of predator conservation, and why killing wildlife is not only cruel but also disrupts ecosystems.
18.02.2025 22:46 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0In this video, we break down the actual footage of coyotes and their natural behaviors, including tail-raising, and explore why hunters struggle so much with accepting reality. Is it just misinformation, or is there something deeperโcognitive dissonance, perhaps?
18.02.2025 22:44 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0After posting a video about coyotes using a new wildlife corridor on our farm, many hunters felt the need to tell me I was wrong. They claimed black coyotes donโt exist, that coyotes never raise their tails, and that I clearly didnโt know what I was talking about.

Soil isnโt just dirtโitโs alive! ๐ฑ Beneath our feet, fungi, microbes, & insects work together to build fertility, store carbon, and sustain life.

Weโd love to hear from you! How do you think veganism and soil health intersect? Are there plant-based soil-building techniques you swear by? Letโs share ideas and learn from each other. ๐ฌ๐
12.02.2025 16:09 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0A key issue is biodiversity loss. Most grazing systems prioritize a few species (cows, sheep, etc.), while plant-based approaches can restore wildlife corridors, pollinator habitat, and natural ecosystems. How can we encourage more biodiversity in agriculture?
12.02.2025 16:09 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 2 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Veganic growers focus on mulching, cover crops, composting, and natural soil amendments to rebuild soil fertility. No need for animal inputs when fungi, microbes, and plants do the real work! ๐พ What methods do you use to feed the soil?
12.02.2025 16:09 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Conventional animal ag is often framed as โgood for soilโ because of manure, but the reality is that grazing, tillage, and monocultures degrade ecosystems. Erosion, compaction, and loss of soil life are major issues. Meanwhile, veganic and plant-based systems offer a different path.
12.02.2025 16:08 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Let's talk about veganism and soil health. ๐ฑ Many assume veganism is just about diet, but its principles extend to land stewardship, biodiversity, and soil regeneration. How do plant-based practices impact soil? Letโs dive in. ๐งต๐
