Also if you're wondering why I've been not doing art its because I leave most sketches and unfinished things on twt (Same @ btw :D) and none of them are finished lol.

But you guys get lore and they dont. Thats a plus. :)

(That's a lot of writing for tonight, we'll stop there for now. Congratulations you now know the entire story of Aeto and Syne, given you read all of that. Glad to have it in writing regardless, will return soon with the modern story.)

Aeto knelt down to the Raltz, gently taking the flower and offering his hand to the small creature. The Raltz could sense Aeto's intentions, happily extending it's arm to his hand, accepting the silent proposal.

Aeto would name his new partner "Rosa", based off the very flower that introduced them.

But on the other hand, it marked something special. A reminder of his beginnings, of the start of his journey. Of the passions and dreams he adorned before. In a strange way, it was a second attempt. A chance to fix his past, to try again and move on. To be better.

Aeto had looked over to see a small pokemon holding a flower up to him. A Raltz, plain as any other, drawn to his emotions seeking to innocently comfort him.

Aeto stared at the Raltz. On one hand, it was simply a reminder of his actions. Of the pain he had just caused. Of his mistakes.

Aeto never saw the result of his actions, of Syne's emotional devastation, nor could he face it anyway. He sat outside the center, facing the ground contemplating his new plans still fighting the feelings of grief and regret.

Until something next to him slowly emerged from the bushes behind.

As Syne peered at the small display, Aeto had finished his work. Beyond her very eyes, she saw the display flash away as her name had disappeared from the screen. The last trace of their bond fading away, the final price for Aeto's independence.

She had been released, no longer Aeto's partner.

She sat next to the bed, crushed and defeated, praying to herself she was trapped in a nightmare. Feeling nothing but despair, she turned next to her to find Aeto's trainer watch, holding the last of their memories together on a small display, showing Syne her own name registered under Aeto's team.

could not find Aeto anywhere. She tried to feel for him, to connect to him again, but all she could sense was numbness. Every room, every closet, every hiding space. Nothing but emptiness. Quickly, she searched his things, rushing to find any clue to where Aeto had left. Any hint. But no.

Aeto stood in front of the pokemon center, exhausted from travel. He had finally felt safe enough to enter the building, approaching the PC station to shed the last mark of his previous life.

That night, Syne had awoken in her sleep, sensing something was wrong. Despite her panicked search, she-

And with the last of his will, he stepped through and shut the window behind him.

Aeto had no time to sulk around. Any hesitation and his efforts would be wasted. He walked through numerous towns, far away from home, escaping Syne's detection for his final step in severance.

Aeto gathered just enough of his things to survive. He couldn't just leave Syne, he had to leave this life behind, and all that came with it. Anything connected directly to him, he had to leave it with her.

And as he snuck out the window he looked across to Syne one last time resting in bed.

His partner, or his freedom.

Aeto didn't want to act. He didn't want to have to come to this decision. But her knew the time for remedy was far gone. At this point, there was nothing that could help the two of them. Aeto could not bear to make Syne suffer, but he could no longer sacrifice himself.

The intense emotions clouded his mind just enough to temporarily sever the link between him and Syne, undoing her hypnotic effect. Aeto knew he had to act fast, to find some solution to regain his freedom. Facing Syne was no option, and as she slept beside him, he realized the choice he was given:

Aeto sulked on these feelings, his mind falling to despair as his dreams desperately clawed their way to his heart, trying to reignite his spirits again. This turmoil brought conflict to his mind, a state of chaos so intense it obscured all thought. All connection.

For a mere moment, Aeto was free.

Aeto blamed himself. He felt solely responsible for Syne's downfall. He felt his pressures had forced her to require comfort. That he had simply fueled her inner desires and now, by accepting and continuing to feed these feelings, he had worsened the damage beyond repair.

He had broken her.

Aeto had lost himself. The spark in his heart had slowly diminished, his goals had seemed far beyond his reach. His new goals, his new dreams, his new life, all now in the hands of his partner. Syne had changed, no longer the same eager companion to Aeto's passions.

Aeto had become a tool for hers.

Meanwhile, the feelings that Syne developed began to grow past her own control. It was no longer enough to simply "possess" Aeto. She felt something different, something intense. She couldn't just "own" Aeto, she had to make sure to "claim" him.

And so Syne reciprocated these feelings to Aeto

He felt strangely powerless. As if he knew he had to fight something in his heart, that he had to go against Syne for his own good. But he struggled to take control of himself. The way Syne would speak, or plead, or comfort. Something about it refused to set his mind free.

Something 'alluring'.

Little by little, day by day, Aeto slowly felt himself slipping away from his dream. More and more time was devoted to caring for Syne. To spend his time with her, and only her. Aeto knew there must be another way to reach his goal, but his instinct had abandoned him. His only action was loving Syne

Aeto's life, and making it her own.

Syne would blame this underperformance on stress and exhaustion, begging to Aeto that the solution was not more training, but more relaxation. That the key to their success was not increasing strength, but instead growing their bond.

And Aeto believed her.

apathy towards battle. Not that she could not handle herself or that she disliked battle, but that she simply could not care. And she had no intention to do so anytime soon.

Syne knew that the less that she battled, the more time she spent with Aeto. Fulfilling her own dream of taking over-

success as a trainer would soon start to diminish, and although he was able to claim a few wins and attain a couple badges, his champion dreams were slowly reaching a plateau.

And this was not just the effect of Syne's team restriction either. Syne herself slowly started to show more and more-

partner, he was her idol, and nothing would disrupt her bond.

Aeto was not allowed to expand his team further. Syne was the only partner he could possess. Any attempt to find other teammates would be sabotaged, resulting in only Syne for Aeto to focus on. With this restriction, Aeto's early-

Syne's bond with Aeto slowly started to manifest into obsession. And with that obsession came control.

Syne's love for Aeto would soon convert itself into deep possessiveness. Soon Aeto was not just her-

Along with this humanization, Syne's latent abilities manifest in her ability to use her voice for advanced forms of illusionary hypnosis through her specialization of 'Alluring Voice', allowing Aeto many early victories and a distinct appreciation of Syne's prowess, furthering their bond together.

Syne's oddities don't end at her appearance. She learns and develops at extraordinary speeds, allowing her not only to fully evolve within months, but also undergoing the phenomenon known as "Humanization" due to her close bond with Aeto, essentially growing up together on Aeto's mission.

Aeto chooses the name Syne based on his belief that this would mark the start of his dream journey of being a champion and this partner was a "Sign of good things to come", otherwise meaning "Sign", (A bit of an amateur attempt at a first name)
