US law already prevents financial support for terror. This bill gives an opening to next administration to go after any nonprofit they want. Destroying civil society is a key tactic of autocrats-- we've seen it in Israel, Russia, Hungary, etc.

Don’t buy into the illusion that Trump has a mandate to trample the rule of law or ignore the Constitution. He does not. Under 1/3 of eligible voters picked Trump. That is no mandate but a narrow victory.
