The quickest 15 didn’t even answer the questions even though they were required. The kicker is that not one person mentioned the very obvious Easter Egg 80% of the way into the job ad. 🤯

It’s incredible how noisy the job market to hire frontend engineers is right now. Maybe it’s LinkedIn. Posted a job ad and 160 applicants applied in less than 2 hours to a hybrid job in Raleigh, NC. Less than 10% were in NC. 80% answered the applicant questions with the same ChatGPT response.

Explaining to my 8 year old son, what Nazism is, what WW2 was, what Sieg Heil salute is because he knows who Elon Musk is and wonders what his parents are talking about was nuts. I think I unintentionally ended it with "your generation might really look back on us not so fondly."

Pro Tip: Don't use ChatGPT to apply to a job you really want. It's obvious you used it and not in a good way.

Being in jail, a convicted felon, caught up in the legal system do not disqualify someone from running for President. Literally, we'd need to pass a new constitutional amendment to add something more to the current 3 qualifiers (natural born citizen, at least 35, been a resident for 14 years).

I think this is a classic two wrongs don't make a right. The fact is he was democratically elected for a second time after trying to take over the government in 2020 and convicted as a felon. It's who the majority of people voted for in a certified election.

On what basis? We are peacefully transitioning our government after a fair and free representative democratic election like we have numerous times other than the last time.

One of the major issues I see crop up in documents is the inability to have any source of record. Like who was the OG author, who edited what, when did x happen, oops we converted it and all this is gone. I’m not sure how AI solves this problem and if anything makes it worse.

I’m always surprised when a business makes a short term customer profitability decision that guarantees a lower to negative long term customer profitability outcome. It literally baffles me every time it happens.

We’ve always had a core value at @nutrientdocs.bsky.social that “it’s always about people.” I’ve said more times than I can remember that every business is a people business.

Not sure the current commentary around AI thinks this will still be true. I couldn’t disagree more.

So are we at peak AI hype now that openAI released a $200/month tier, $PLTR is running up 6% at a 380 P/E, or are we really a few years away from complete disruption of capitalism fueled by human labor?

It's monitor upgrading time. I've been using a 38" LG ultrawide for like 5 years now at home. Here's what I'm considering -

5k 40" LG 40WP95C-W UltraWide
Dell 40" UltraSharp U4025QW UltraWide
2x 27" Apple Studio Display Nano-Texture
32" Apple Pro Display XDR

They looked like a different team than I’ve watched all season. Martin didn’t have a great night either but the team didn’t help him much as well. We looked lethargic.
