Living up to "silly lil kitty", my BG3 playthrough was lagging on video (but not on my screen) for episode 1 - 5 during some cut scenes and level up screens due to particle effects I belive. BG3 doesn't have a slider for particle effects, however lowering the resolution completely fixed it.
