Honestly I stopped watching from the first episode because of the line "[People] don't like to lie. The body rejects it."
What a bad take on human psychology.

What a bad take on human psychology.
David Lynch spent the last portion of his life in isolation. He said it was due to being high-risk and unable to risk getting COVID.
Heโs not the only person with disability or illness whoโs been left behind.
Everywhere you go without an n95 is a place youโve decided disabled people donโt belong.
Didn't know anything about Wicked coming in. I knew it was gonna go hard but DAMN it went HARD. And Cynthia Erivo's voice is the most magnificent thing!

AT Protocol = Email
The latter being the protocol and OPEN standard for decentralised social networking services powering Blue sky -- which means that unlike Twitter or Facebook, no single entity controls the Bluesky social network.
Thank you @hankgreen.bsky.social for the analogy!
Agreed. I appreciate his non-destructive, reversible approach to restoration.
You'd think that's the norm but half of the stuff he does seems to be undoing bad restoration efforts.
Heck, I can already restore images somewhat, using Inpainting (in InvokeAI) to select damaged sections of a painting and prompting those areas back into existence. I can even reverse aging and even recolor using similarly ML-assisted methods.
05.12.2024 00:16 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Mythbusters and the human curiosity it represents will always be human-centric, I think, but seeing as how TV networks wouldn't produce a show like that anymore (as opposed to cheaper reality shows or, god forbid, AI-generated shows), the threat is there all the same.
05.12.2024 00:12 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0In the case of Baumgartner, how long before AI takes over painting restoration? Julian Baumgartner has already started using the machine learning techniques to assist him. Is the physical act of restoration by hand safe or is there a machine-only option somewhere over the horizon?

It's not going to last of course, but still, it's nice to be able to hold a camera again, to edit and write and just do the craft without having to look over my shoulder, even for a short while.
