yeeeah sooo trueee kian!! like you can’t change people who don’t want to grow with you and that’s okay even if it sometimes is a hard pill to swallow, but what you can do is put the energy there where it’s mutual and cultivate those relationships insteed and that is okay

and that kinda really hit home in a way that i have felt over the last years about the friendships i have felt a bit bad about because it didn’t feel like the energy i put it was appreciated or reciprocrated in an equal way (and i don’t mean like being busy with life and still understanding)

she doesn't think they are bad ppl or anything and don’t mean bad but they are bad friends to her and she can’t keep carrying so much of the friendship in that way

had a convo with my friend the other day about how she is feeling about mutual friends of ours after their kinda fallout and rocky reentry into the relationship and she said something i kept on thinking about and that was:

i have seen so many ppl shit on these icon sets saying oh they are bad because you can’t tell what they are first look and that is not truee??? They old ones aren’t better they were just what you were used, these are good, can you optimise them more, sure but they ain’t bad

my personal pet peeve is when people will shit on perfectly fine and good redesigns of things on the sole basis that they are not used to the new thing and then make uninformed statements about the quality of the design when they don’t know what they are talking about
