Out with @scottishlabour.bsky.social colleagues campaigning for my good friend Greg MacKenzie, our #KilmarnockNorth by-election candidate. Nice to be in such reassuringly named streets ❤️ #Galston Place, #Newmilns Garden, #Darvel Avenue and #Priestland Close.

For areas still affected by power cuts due to Friday’s storm - a warm hub has been stood-up at #Darvel Town Hall where tea, coffee and hot food will be provided by @eastayrshire.bsky.social

Whilst we are still keenly feeling the loss of our beloved friend and colleague, Maureen McKay, we go forward with the group in good hands and I offer them both my full support and am proud to serve as part of this incredible team.

It’s one thing to meet Santa Clause. It’s quite another to have the Prestwick Pirlo introduce you to him. 🐿️💕🎅⚽️

Maureen touched so many lives and no one who had the pleasure of her company, in whatever capacity, will ever forget her. 3/

Rest in Peace, Maureen. A life well lived, dedicated to serving others, a legacy that won’t be forgotten.

Maureen was a true friend to me and a mentor, not just as a councillor colleague but in many aspects of life.

We are all devastated to have lost her and my prayers and thoughts are with her family, friends, colleagues and all who knew her. 2/

Not only was Maureen McKay a truly exceptional councillor, she was quite simply an exceptional person who served those she represented with dedication and an incredible devotion to the work of helping those who need it. 1/

Both events were very well attended and I’m sure all who came along would agree, great successes.

Santa would especially like to thank his helper, Elf Chloe for all her assistance and can confirm she is now off the naughty list for all her hard work.

Then it was off to Darvel for the wonderful Christmas Market in the town hall. 3/

Santa Claus was on duty at St. Sophia’s Primary School Parent Council Christmas Fayre (at the Kirkstyle Campus) and was in great demand, an estimated 99 children visited the grotto and even Cllr. Mabon came along for a picture on Santa’s knee 🎅 🤣. 2/

Had a lovely day of festive Irvine Valley fun yesterday. 1/
