Monster Argument - my first completed sketch of 2026 (January has been a rough start)

Today I learned humans still have a third eyelid and it's made me feel a bit queasy.

It doesn't function anymore... thankfully. Though I'm sure if we all grew up with functioning third eyelids I'd probably be tweeting about some other mammal with only two eyelids per eye.

Thanks a lot! I drew this in about 49minutes all in with the cheapest mechanical and normal pencils I had laying around (I run out of the 3mm leads I usually use for drawing). I am pleased that ‘rushing’ the drawing and leaving detail out in places, worked out well for this drawing.

To be fair, for games for the original playstation, it was best to keep 3d models as one mesh to help its GPU work out Z order.

That's where my 'one mesh per model' paranoid habit came from anyway.

It’s really amazing how well the studios have trained audiences to believe that “CG ruins movies,” and that if an effect is good, it must have been practical, and that’s the sign of a good movie - no CG.
