I recreated it immediately after, and every time I think about it I break out into a laughing fit again.

Back in 2018 I had a dream about walking around a grocery store. I came to the dairy section and saw the words "COOBOY BOBOP" in big letters above the milk, and I laughed so hard that I woke up.

I just finished reading "What Moves the Dead" by T. Kingfisher. It's an amazingly eerie retelling of The Fall of the House of Usher that made me hold my breath while I read it. It's Gothic, atmospheric, and just plausible enough to be utterly terrifying. Highly recommend!

And the blood! So much blood! The practical effects involving the blood were stellar, and I can't believe that one man suffered through so much of it in the process of making the movie.
Easily a 9/10, one of the best video game adaptations, and one of the best horror movies I've seen.

Sometimes, the scenes ran a little long, like Simon mapping out the whole cave system only to (SPOILER), which may feel disappointing, but it also adds to the theme of hopelessness! It's a hard thing to juggle.

When some words are garbled or soft, you really feel the impact when words are clear.
"You deserve your freedom, and I'm sorry that I can't give it to you" hit hard. Simon's rambling to himself also felt very realistic for a person who was doubting his own sanity.

It's hard to write an entire plot that takes place in a single location, let alone a single room, but Iron Lung does it very well. The dialog was hard to follow at times, but I think that worked in its favor...

Iron Lung was a great movie!! Suspenseful with little moments of levity thrown in, only to ram you face first into some of the best cosmic horror I have ever seen in a movie.
