It will be interesting (and sad) to follow how these new tariffs will impact the global aviation industry. I really wonder how this will affect long-term corporate decisions in the US, and if the global economy will indeed start to be more US-independent.

🔴There have been rumours about a large order coming from flydubai. Its CEO, Ghaith Al Ghaith, just commented on Airways: "We are currently assessing our requirement for narrow-body aircraft, and any decision will be announced once it is finalised". Stay tuned for the full story.

🔴 SWISS is commencing pilot training for its new Airbus A350. The training will utilize the new A350 full-flight simulator, and SWISS plans to train more than 50 of its pilots on the new aircraft in the course of this year.

🛫 The first Boeing 777X took off five years ago. Since then, the aircraft has accumulated over 500 orders, as well as countless delays that pushed back the official entry in service to 2026.

On January 15, 2015, the first A350-900XWB started commercial service with Qatar Airways on a flight between Doha and Frankfurt. The A350-1000 took off for the first time just over a year later, beginning revenue service in 2018.
