I fucking hate how conversations about influential trans artists feel like walking around a graveyard reading names off tombstones.

It’s so hard to have hope for your own future when most of your role models are dead before the age of 30.

To trans ppl:

Do you also feel like you’re already running out of time in your 20s/30s?

Do y’all worry about writing your legacy now cause the next few years may be all you have?

Does it keep you up at night knowing, odds are, you’re not gonna live as long as your cis friends?

On a positive note though, I've already been around way longer than teenage me ever expected, and even though I'm still far from who I wish I was, I'm still closer than teen me ever really thought was possible

So, I guess that that, at least, is something worth recognizing, and celebrating

Ironically that sense of endlessly building pressure becomes a bit paralyzing, and makes it very difficult to actually Do any of things at all... Which in turn emphasizes the "running out of time" feeling... And so on...

I feel this a lot.

I've honestly had that "running out of time" feeling since my teens. Its gotten worse over the years though.

Like, a sense that I need to live a full life, actualize as a genuine and interesting person, And make something worth remembering all Soon or it'll be Too Late
