On Monday we were delighted to announce the winners of The Seeds of Hope for a Better Future competition 2025. There were many outstanding and inspirational artworks, illustrated stories, digital illustrations and performance/instillation art. Well done to all the schools that participated 🌟

I’m sad to hear the news that the wonderful Jane Goodall is no longer in the world. Her work with chimpanzees at Gombe in Tanzania taught us to look at other apes - and ourselves - differently. I was privileged to meet her later in life and tell her what an inspiration she was to me.

On this International Day to #ProtectEducationFromAttack, UNESCO underlines its deep concern about the 44% increase in attacks on educational facilities in 2024.
