It takes basically everything great about the original game and turns it *back* into melee which is great if that's your thing, and for a while it was.

But a game as intentionally fast paced and with a proper engine to boot, I just don't understand how you're supposed to enjoy it without sweating.

Rivals of Aether 2 is possibly the saddest I've been with myself regretting a purchase. I backed the game and knew how it was ultimately going to go, and all it delivers is exactly what it wants, to be fair. However, I think as a genre, developers need to step back and rethink platform fighters. 1/
