You can fix the current drawing by sponging or misting the back and pressing it between paper towels or something absorbent.

In the future you can try picking up a large masonite board and taping down paper you've wet both sides and allowed to dry before painting onto.

Are you pre-wetting your paper or what have you tried to reduce buckling?

That I had to go back to 2018 to dig out my last serious attempt...

1st painting of the year! Was haunted by the image of two gentlemen stripping down to enter a magical little gingerbread bathhouse in the woods. It looks small from the outside, inside is a gigantic labyrinth equipped with hot tubs, steam rooms, saunas, massage pods, & mazes corridors. 😈
