What doesn't help is that many bands mask a lack of talent with sheer volume. I don't include Machine Head in that. They were awesome.

News story today about protecting your hearing. Fair. I reckon I did huge damage to my hearing attending a Machine Head concert in 1999. Also life with a very loud 2CV. I often wear ear plugs these days.

The hydro-Cits with front struts (BX, XM) can be surprisingly harsh over potholes in a way the earlier ones aren't. Personally, I think the GSA may actually be the perfect suspension compromise. Just a shame they never had PAS as they really need it.

Local Ford dealer has changed to Xpeng. I know I'm not always on top of new car stuff but that's a brand I had never heard of! Quite the change.

I still don't see it. Hydrogen has zero infrastructure, needs generating and is an absolute pig to store safely.

Stopcock seized at the previous place. Got out of jail because the water meter had a shut off on it. Phew!

Never dismantled a tap before but it's pretty easy. Cost £5.79 ignoring fuel (I did at least manage to do other things on the journey). Still forgot the bloody engine oil for the Astra though!

Today was plumbing part 2. Successful but a two-minute job of swapping a cartridge has taken half a day so far. Went for supplies, road closed so diverted onto filthy, crowded back roads. Still, this was seemingly a break from the storm so it was sunny and pleasant. It isn't now...
