One of our opponents said to me “your shots are demoralizing” after I made a nice tap-roll-freeze to the button.
That was the best compliment at curling ever. 👍😁

What happened to 2025!?
I coached 2 rental groups yesterday. Both were family-friends groups of immigrants. They all wanted to learn curling and have fun, and not like someone told them to do so. It’s always a delightful learning experience for me, as well.

It was a young team and I can relate myself. In early days when you get better at takeouts and become a bit cocky. Then face defeat because you can’t draw.
I keep telling my teammates “This is just for fun! We are not going to Brier!!”. 😅
After the game they looked defeated and didn’t stay for drinks. 🤷🏻♂️

With the previous version, when the red LED goes on they had to stop the stone immediately.
What I heard was that at the World Curling conference earlier this year they discussed about possibly using new systems at PCCC and Euro, and if it worked then at Olympics.
I guess that didn’t happen? 🤷🏻♂️
Does anyone know if PCCC is using hogline sensor?
