Since Covid we have just cracked the £10,000 mark, all down to the quiz and a massive thank you to Sarah and Colin and all the people who attend, last night we raised £130 over the weekend an anonymous donor put in another hundred pounds, cakes and raffle prizes made up for a great night.

You can’t park there mate

This is where the quiz money goes thank you to everybody involved, over £800 reduced down to £515 as we had to get it in before Sunday. So this is heading to Kids Bank today this week will be £2 ahead. Everybody gets a raffle ticket and there will be couple of prizes handed out at the end.

Over £50 raised last night at the quiz and a massive thank you to Sarah who runs it, our starting lineup of beers a few that will be on soon and never forget the Theakstons mild.

Winners & Losers: Oakman Inns in administration losing 6 pubs & 159 jobs, BrewDog closes 10 UK pubs citing difficult trading, Marston's reports rising sales in their pubs, Wetherspoons "growing steadily in final quarter". Overall picture, one pub lost every day, independents hardest hit.

Pancho has returned safely, and arty has been keeping an eye out for her all day.

Farewell to the Fed. The old Federation Brewery site in Gateshead is to become a £40m multi-storey golf & leisure complex. The Fed supplied working men's clubs since the end of WW1 & briefly brewed Newcastle Brown Ale before Heineken moved it to Tadcaster, losing its protected geographical status.

Thank you to the four customers who were in here at 8:30 last night braving the heat and Chester races, it’s safe now it’s Sunday and they’ve all gone away, not the heat the race crowd I mean. Just remember, they’re working for Chester.
