Gives me a bit of a shock looking back on this one. While I'm quite pleased with it I think it lacks subtlety and goes too much for the high colour key. A little more restraint required for this year with more carefully modulated tones and lest finicky detail.

A recent oil on canvas painted in my garden size 61cmX86cm "Two women at a garden table". It was one of my entries to the Cambridge Drawing Society 2024. Needs to be a bit more subtle in its tone I think looking back on it.

I love that arched entrance to a designer bar and grill on Cambridge Trinity Street. I'm glad it has been preserved or rebuilt because it became quite dilapidated years ago. Money does have its uses. Next door was Jaegar, now The Ivy Brasserie. All these flashy and expensive places would have been quite alienating to me coming to Cambridge now instead of simpler times in 1974 when pubs were scruffy and cheap.

A moderately large painting/drawing showing a Cambridge may week scene using oil pastel and body colour plus linear work using acrylic ink with a dip pen. Present whereabouts unknown.

A larger one in a similar vein. I think this one sold in a gallery exhibition (I don't know who has it now). Nice and wild in its technique.

Today, this artist, Noval Noir, was painting a stunning portrait of Renee Good at the site of where she was killed
