I have a new phone and the camera is amazing,but apparently the sound is so sensitive it picks up my fingers touching the case (the staticky sound).

Anyway! Harmony is very playful.

Babycat tinned food and divetelact kitten milk! They love it.

Yeah. A bit cool, but it's Tassie so we're always up and down. It was just a bit of a swing for a kitten to adjust to!

I'm pretty sure that was just dirt, but I didn't double check his ears before we treated them.

We have slightly fewer tick diseases in theory! In theory.

We have two browner tabbies and two greyer tabbies. In that, we have a boy and a girl in each group.

But their patterns and faces are different once you spend time with them. Which is v hard via photos!

A small trembling tabby kitten with giant eyes and giant pupils. She has a tiny scrap of breakfast on her mouth, and she looks like she is contemplating heaven.

I currently have a tshirt full of kittens because they got a bit cold despite their heat pad. (We went from 30C+ days to 16.9C outside)

We were trying to hold off on flea and tick treatment until they were a touch healthier, but there were SO MANY baby ticks.

So I did lots of maths and everyone got an appropriate amount of chemicals for their weights.

A small tabby kitten who is hissing at me a bit, but it looks like he is smiling and happy, which is hilarious. He has excellent long whiskers and blue green eyes.

All four remaining fruit babies are doing brilliantly. Eating well, pooping properly, and not being too sick.

We did discover SO MANY ticks today though - apparently the ticks needed them to make some blood so they could eat it.

She is so adorable. Currently tucked under my chin after we had to tick treat everyone.

Plum is super sassy and I love her to pieces. Kiwi is probably the sickest of the bunch, but he's doing all the right things and eating on his own as long as I remind him.

She is a very crabapple.

Funnily enough, she does not! None of them do which was unexpected.

Apple is the fierce defender of siblings!

I don't have a preference! They're all good for someone!

And I say clumping tofu, but really it's whatever neat clumping pelleted litter I find on sale - corn, rice, whatever. Tofu is just the most common.

That's pretty much it! The big cats (Sabine, Meg, etc) get a mix of litters because their preference keeps changing. Little weirdos. Babies who don't eat litter get clumping tofu, whatever brand. Babies who might eat litter get Worlds Best, or paper.

Right?! They're so robust! And healthy! And I can't see their pelvis!

And her little eyeballs are HUGE.

We can't just have little unnamed babies haunting us. We need to know who is who.

We named the kittens. I wasn't going to name anyone - leaving that for their permanent foster carer, but after we lost Peach yesterday, it seemed unfair to not give them names.

Yes it was Meg, and yes, she made it back inside! She had been hiding inside my husband's old car the whole time. A whole 2m from the door.

I have gone and huffed my big kittens repeatedly.

We lost her. She died warm and loved and we did everything we could.

Ah fuck it. We lost her, despite intense efforts. She died inside my shirt, warm and cosy, being told what a good kitten she was.

I'm having a lot of feelings about how people are happy to delay helping a kitten.

I'm just doing oral fluids. No IV. But we're going to give subq fluids shortly - I don't have any on hand.
