I’m all about cats and finding new novels to read. Horror, fantasy, thriller, but the only thing I like spicy is my dinner.

I finished “Iron Flame” today. I can’t get enough of this series! I am wanting to start Onyx Storm asap!

I’ll have to add this to my TBR!

The Empyrean series is addicting. I couldn’t wait to start reading Iron Flame, so I’m going to alternate between this and The Last House on Needless Street. Both are great books but I can’t wait to find out more about what happens in Iron Flame!

“Fourth Wing” by Rebecca Yarros? Yes please! I devoured this, even sacrificing sleep before work. I heard there was some spicy parts to it, but not enough to deter me. There’s so much character development and I can’t wait until I start the next. 5/5⭐️

It’s absolutely amazing! Before reading I flipped through the book and I actually wouldn’t have understood it without the story. That’s why I think for this book specifically grabbing the print version gives you another insight that wouldn’t be understood digitally.

Up next: “Fourth Wing” by Rebecca Yarros. I love dragons and fantasy, and I hear it’s spicy but i know someone obsessed with the series so I’ll give it a try.

Also finished “Horrorstor” by Grady Hendrix. It was a quick read and I enjoyed it! I read the ebook version but would definitely recommend reading the physical copy. It would make it easier to flip back and forth for additional details. 5⭐️

Today I finished “100 Cupboards” by N.D. Wilson. The beginning felt like a slow start to me, but towards the end it definitely kept my interest. I can understand the slow start because it is a series so putting in enough details to not have to explain later was great. 5⭐️

Another book recommendation I received is “Horrorstor” by Grady Hendrix. I want to just sink into a great horror novel. I love how it looks like a furniture store catalog.

Up next is a book that was recommended by a friend. Her kids love the series so I’m giving it a try. “100 Cupboards” by N.D. Wilson. It’s a chapter book for kids but I hear the world building is amazing.

I finished “Beyond the Mark: Ashes of the Hero” by Kevin Gallant 5/5⭐️ I read the first version before the updates, so I added the revised version to my TBR list. I’m looking forward to the series!

Just really excited on how my Kindle refresh came out. It’s just as exciting as getting a new book.

May’s book club is “The House in the Cerulean Sea” by TJ Klune. 5/5⭐️ I couldn’t put it down and finished it in 3 days! Would definitely recommend for a magical fantasy. I especially loved the message of acceptance.

Also book update: finished “Daisy Jones and the Six” by Taylor Jenkins Reid for my book club. 4/5⭐️ Not my genre but the writing was amazing. Each character had a different personality and I could differentiate between them.

Sunday Morning reading.

I borrowed “The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes” from my library through Libby so I needed to read that ASAP so I can let the next person borrow it. 5/5 ⭐️ although I felt even if I devour her books quickly, it might have taken longer because I saw the movie first. Would recommend!

I am very excited to see you published on Kobo! I recently got a Kobo so I’ll have to add your book to my Kobo collection too!

So many books! So little time! Still listening to the audiobook for book club. Started my own personal reading. And I just added another series on my TBR because it came highly recommended from people I know that love reading.

Just finished “Sunrise on the Reaping” by Suzanne Collins. I felt like work got in the way of a great book! I only put it down because of responsibilities. The Hunger Games is such a great series I just can’t get enough! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Next book: “Daisy Jones and the Six” by Taylor Jenkins Reid. At work they wanted it to be for our book club.

Not my usual go to reading genre so I have to prioritize it if I want to keep up with the book club. It reminds me of a documentary on a band, and I’m not a big fan of documentaries.

Finished reading “Merrick” by Anne Rice. Lestat is my favorite, I think it’s harder for me to get to know the other characters in the Vampire series without feeling biased if Lestat isn’t a main focus. But I do think this is a kind of introduction to another tale where Lestat may be a major focus.

Thinking of creating a series of posts where I review books I’ve currently read. I’m not a big video person so I feel like this is more my platform.
