In the puddle of mud that is Wales, our morning hike was along part of Offa's Dyke path nr Forden. We were aiming for Beacon Ring hill fort, but the path was dire in the end. Still covered a few miles though.

Some of the trees felt as if they were going to get up and keep us company!

Glad my eldest isn't on bsky, she'd be lecturing me on missed references. I always fail her abysmally 😆

Today's morning ramble was around Old Oswestry Iron Age hill fort. Set a bit lower than some of those we've tramped around but still a good hike. Very muddy so couldn't explore all the levels. Will be going back.
(Oswestry is town in Shropshire not far from England/Wales border.)

Did the pictures come with the locket or are they family? If not family, it's the sort of thing you start wondering about, what they were like, how they lived, who were they, etc
