Beautiful start to second day of conference with students.

I did not foresee them calling a student dressed SRO to take me to ISS. Well played!

Hoco dress up day was teachers dress like students and students dress like staff. I was hassled in the hall by a group of administrator dressed students. Wanted to see my pass and checked me for a vape. I told them "bruh your doing to much"

My success of the day. I have a student who dug a hole gradewise that I really did not have hope he could backfill. The CAD lessons scaffold so you can't really just skip ahead. At the end of class today he is only 4 assignments behind. Last week it was 22. He's going to make it.

We have a Polar bottling plant in town but alas Polar beverages are not sold here.

There was a note from a student from about 20 years ago. He said he made it, but it would have been an easier road if he had listened back in middle school.

My wife and I enjoyed the evening in Apalachicola far from home. When I went to pay the dinner and bar tab was covered.

Was I prepared for a three year old swim student to belt out the words to "Sweet Child of Mine" from our playlist? No but I approve.

Scheduling swim lessons from 9am to 8pm is idiotic......oh wait I made the schedule.

Second swim lesson a 5 year old showed up strapped with a whole nerf rifle.

First swim lesson of the week...no crying... I'm not sure how this foreshadows the rest of the day.

One of the instructors helping me teach swim lessons was one of my swim students @1 year old. She's 17 now. I'm a dinosaur.

It is now that time in the school year that feels like the Kobayashi Maru......and I'm afraid I'm no James T. Kirk.

I put in a requisition for Part # 121g Line: EB from Oreilly Auto Parts Because I will require it to have any chance of making this happen. Interested in the response.

I have a student with 32 missing assignments this quarter. I have met every accommodation. Weekly parent contact was made. Case worker was emailed (without any replies) bi weekly. Today it was suggested that I find a way to pass them.

I have decided that when I actually retire from teaching that I will substitute, but I'm going to dress as historical figures based on the subject I'm teaching. And I will not acknowledge that I'm in costume.

I had a student three years ago in my first level class who refused to do a presentation, said he would just take a zero. Today he got up and gave the first presentation in front of his peers in his school life. Damn I was Proud of him.
