So that was hostile? You have to be kidding me. We share a strong dislike of Netanyahu but I just support Israelβs right to exist. Thatβs what Iβm aligning with.

18.06.2025 11:59 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0If they were truly imperialistic, why haven't they taken over all of Gaza? Are you suggesting that they don't have the means to overtake Jordan or Lebanon? I think they're happy with where they're at as long as there is no threat to their survival.
16.06.2025 19:42 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0While I might disagree with Netanyahu's expanding into the West Bank, ISR took over the Golan Heights after they were attacked. Their neighbors have shown their hostility in rhetoric and actions, so given that context, do you understand their reluctance to ceding land?
16.06.2025 19:23 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I don't think we're that far off, but I don't think ISR's survival is guaranteed by having nuclear capability, but I do think it's a key factor in them maintaining their land. Their country is essentially the size of NJ and they represent a small portion of the global population.
16.06.2025 18:57 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I agree. Alliances matter as long as the US is the dominant power, ISR has the advantage. But things can certainly change and US dominance is not guaranteed in the future, especially when make poor decisions on our leadership.
16.06.2025 18:26 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0While I agree that imperialism played a role in the creation of ISR as they would be more willing to work with Western interests, it's not that simplistic. They wanted to provide a safe haven for Jews after the Holocaust and ISR has only expanded their territory when attacked.
16.06.2025 18:21 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I disagree with that. There were certainly moderate ISR leaders who actually offered a two-state solution, but it was rejected by the Palestinian Authority. Hamas certainly doesn't want a two-state solution and the Palestinian Authority is corrupt with no credibility.
16.06.2025 18:18 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0As for the creation of ISR, UK should be blamed for making promises to both Jews and Arabs but they were in a difficult spot after the split of the Ottomon Empire. As we have seen over time, neither group seemed willing to budge but agree that Jews were more effective lobbying world leaders.
16.06.2025 18:16 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0But that's due to Netanyahu's leadership, who I despise. I wish they had new leadership, but just like the Palestinians suffered consequences by choosing Hamas to lead them, Israelis are dealing the consequences of keeping Netanyahu in power.
16.06.2025 18:01 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0What's ironic is that it's you that made the assumption that I'm displaying cognitive dissonance when I already condemned Netanyahu's action. It's you that don't know me, so I suggest that you seek clarification before you jump to wrong assumptions. And yes, I still side with Israel.
16.06.2025 17:58 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Thereβs no need for that type of language. It was you that said my post was a contradiction. To suggest that is a simplistic narrative.
16.06.2025 17:53 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0When I think about Zionism, Iβm talking about the strand that is more militant and unwilling to compromise. While that describes Netanyahu, it doesnβt represent all Israelis.
16.06.2025 17:51 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Supporting Israel doesnβt mean you support Zionism. You do realize the conflict is way more complicated, right. I can think for myself but understand that media can influence the narrative. Thatβs why I try to get my news from multiple perspectives but most donβt have the time to do that.
16.06.2025 16:06 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I know you like simple black and white answers, such as Israel and the Palestinians are either right or wrong but thatβs not how the world operates. Itβs not a double standard but recognizing thereβs nuance and complexity that doesnβt lend itself with easy answers.
16.06.2025 16:02 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0I think Netanyahu is a terrible leader though. I think history will bear that out but that does not change my alliance with Israel. I still love America even though I might not care about the current leadership.
16.06.2025 15:28 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I think what the Palestinians are going through is heartbreaking and I think it couldβve been avoided. Itβs truly a moral dilemma, but I still side with Israel. Neither side is willing to share the land and think itβs pointless to come up with a two state solution.
16.06.2025 15:26 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0You have to pick a side and I side with Israel.
16.06.2025 14:32 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I agree that both Iran and Israel are bad actors. There is no way to excuse what Israel has done in Gaza. Netanyahuβs actions were morally wrong yet understand their paranoia about Iran going nuclear. Israel is the size of NJ so unlike the US and Iran, so all it takes is one bomb to take them out.
16.06.2025 14:31 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I was unaware that Western media was denying that Israel had nuclear weapons. I thought that was common knowledge. Yes, we want to ensure Iran doesnβt get it because their rhetoric calls for the destruction of Israel.
