His work focuses on developing statistically rigorous methods for microbiome data, currently addressing subject-level confounding in PERMANOVA.

We had almost 60 participants from around the world, eagerly participating and learning. Huge shoutout to Kelsey for spearheading the course and all instructors for teaching fabulously! π

It was also a enjoyable experience learning new insights and connecting with old and new friends.

Welcome, Dr. Emily Green, a new postdoc joining our HMAC group.
Emily completed her PhD in Microbiology at UConn and a postdoc at the USDA, where she focused on environmental microbiomes, including insects, soil, plants, and nematodes. We are excited to have her in the lab!
We are looking forward to seeing everyone in June at our annual microbial multi-omits workshop. We still have limited availability but registration is going fast!

Earlier this month Curtis attended the CGC Grand Challenge Summit, representing both the OPTIMISICC and PROSPECT teams. OPTIMISTICC is several years into their investigation of the CRC microbiome, and PROSPECT is just launching their consortium to investigate early-onset CRC. @cancerresearchuk.org
