A priceless work of art that celebrates the female form?

In my art history class, this sculpture was paired with "The Birth of Venus" by Botticelli and a 3rd painting (I can't remember which modern painter...it was 1980-something!) and talked about the beauty in each one.

The religious version of "shut up and dribble/sing", it seems. Sigh. I really loathe this time line.
