What's painful about the Clase leave is that we are left with a lot of really bad option. It seems as though regardless, there's going to be a suspension, and it could be and likely is for life. If he isn't, he submarined a likely trade at the deadline, and dampened his value in an potential deal.

But hey, we have another bar with way to expensive food, as the team slowly shifts its demographic up the pay scale, alienating more and more fans every day. Sorry...bitter today...

And to be clear, I'm not talking about the #Guardians front office kowtowing to the fans, but when you look at algorithms, if you're asking fans to pay ridiculous sums of money it now costs to goto games, perhaps the percentage you take fans into account in said algorithm should be a bit higher?

As it stands, it really feels like the #Guardians front office has a conservative model that doesn't take the fans into account, even minutely. Hell, even other front offices are sick of dealing with them. Chris Antonetti, the boy that cries wolf. And the fans are left with yearly frustration.

I read somewhere that @stephenking.bsky.social received a letter from a reader that didn't want to die before he finished The Dark Tower series. It was one of the reasons he expedited the writing. He understood/understands how much the fans NEED the goods he delivered/delivers.

Just the worst. A small market team who runs itself as conservatively poor as possible, has a run of draft picks underperform and injured, has a guy they dealt the best defender in baseball for-ish, and their closer who was likely to be traded…a year after the ALCS. Everything’s fine…

ZIPs projections for the Guards seem...interesting and low...if they'd just grab a starter or two...trade...free agent...but I think they missed to boat on an outfielder. Profar at 3/42 woulda been fun...

I do like the #guardians roster this year. They did a lot last year with minimal offensive production. If they use the roster correctly, there's upside across the board. So much depends on their bullpen. What are the chances it's as good as it was...and the rotation is still...suspect.

And the Dodgers have just muscled their way through most of the notable free agents...

The Guardians won't probably do anything more this offseason, and they've arguably not done anything to improve the team from last year...and I sit here hoping for a pilfering...someone that makes it through without getting money so we can get them on a one or two year deal...

I don't know where this #NBA season goes, but watching the #Cavs and #OKC go toe-to-toe as the two best teams in the league while the NBA powers are out in the cold watching is pretty damn fun.

Hogan getting booed out of Los Angeles may be the best part of a pretty incredible first edition of RAW on Netflix. Can't imagine WWE doesn't edit this out at some point. What a train wreck.

With the new deal starting, and the Simulcasts, I can't imagine they'll be gone for long...and how Okada/Omega/Hangman are involved...if at all. With so many factions, I wouldn't mind them putting "The Elite" away for while...but who knows. I think there are some twists and turns yet to play out...
