For a game that I PLAYED but didn’t come out this year, Outer Wilds.

It really is everything people say it is. It’s wonderful. The story and the message behind it gave me hope. It’s a masterclass in story and design. It devastated me in a way no other game has.

For a game that came out this year, Dispatch.

Not only were the story and characters fun and interesting, it varied up the Telltale formula with the dispatch shifts and it wasn’t obvious what consequences your decisions had. It’s really hard to see the seams in the storytelling.

It feels like a trick question…

This entire grift relies on convincing people that they don't know how to do the things they have always known how to do, and ironically, if it works, we will, in a very short amount of time, forget how to do all the things we have always known how to do.
