I couldn't tell ya, it's just become so accepted that I think we need to hold each other accountable for this but Twitch is def going to do everything in their power to incentivise spending crazy amounts...like enabling the 1000 gift sub option again :/

I feel like I rambled a lot there im sorry if this sounded like nonsense but I just kept typing as the thoughts came to me asdhevdhs

TLDR; dont let subathons take over your life, give yourself rest time, others have inspired me and wanna do a reverse subathon and give back to my community aaaa 💙

So inspired by others doing these kind of events around me or soon to be doing them that im going to give this a real shot at hosting one that ill be proud of!

I want to give back to my community and friends for helping me through my rough patches and have a good time with everyone in celebration 💙

Im not going to allow myself to go overboard and take it slow and at my own pace, but I want it to be a fun time still and will make the best of it as a result!

Im creeping ever closer to 5k on Twitch now im my 5th year and im so happy to be close to this milestone! I look around me and I'm 6/?

Thensome, then I think youre already thinking in a better mindset over how you handle it.

Ita so easy to feel like "if im not streaming then im not doing well" and I feel that often but I know my limits and that I cant be doing this every day...and thats fine!

When i approach this event 4/?

Be enabling you as the streamer to be going all day every day with only enough hours to sleep, and neither should you enable yourself in the same manner as the streamer.

If you can go for long periods of time but still give yourself time in the day to rest, spend time with family/friends and 3/?

That we need to look after ourselves when hosting events like this and make sure that we aren't ignoring our wellbeing and still tending to irl things! If youre burnt out and need a couple days to recharge to he your best for the event in the middle of it then DO IT!!

A reverse subathon sounds like a much better idea than uncapped ones especially for someone like me who works fulltime...I used to think when I was new in the streaming scene that uncapped subathons were the norm but I just dont particularly enjoy how theyre done?
