Can someone suggest a viable WFH part time job for me? I’m a researcher with writing, presenting and organisational skills and I really can’t face applying to β€œtrain AI”.

I think there are several similar tree drawings, a view from a window, if I recall correctly. He did a lot of tree pictures. share.google/8OKr0caetkZa...

I love this one and I can’t put my finger on why, but it’s been on my phone since the Tate Paul Nash show several years ago.

The 1986 cover art makes this look like the odd β€œsport/humour” books that made up my dad’s meagre bookshelf when I was a kid. J.L. Carr truly unpredictable! @backlisted.bsky.social #MonkeyTonks

She (Jolliffe Metcalfe) was associated with The Group Theatre, Leontine Segan and The Forum Club. Certainly in London in β€˜30s, so might help give me more context. Thanks again.

Matt could you recommend any reading about lesbian life in 1930s London? I’ve been researching a friend’s aunt who was an author /
Playwright with an interesting life, vague Christie connection. Look forward to reading your book when I get the opportunity. Thanks

@jondennis.bsky.social Hi Jon… I was not prepared at all! I got used to it eventually. Rediscovered that article when looking for a pic to illustrate. I hope I wasn’t too rude about your band, I tried to write the gigs up without hindsight.

Have your say about the future of the Torquay Pavilion. Torbay Council are running an online public consultation to gather views about the future "viable, sustainable uses" for the Grade II listed Pavilion. The cut-off for comment is 25th January. Survey here: bit.ly/453wnFz

There must be an efficient way to bring back decent and thorough events listings. So many crappy apps, someone should be able to make that work?

Must go into 1940s as BS aged 38 in the photo with RT according to caption. Loads of Dietrich, Gable & Lombard, Garbo and sundry other starlets - pics all cut out and glued in. Joan Crawford defo the compiler’s favourite!

It reminded me: I bought a movie scrapbook at a carboot sale a few years ago. Mostly 1930s Joan Crawford, Errol Flynn etc from Picturegoer & similar mags, but Barbara Stanwyck features as wife of Robert Taylor. No idea who compiled it.

Taputapu is a lively and optimistic panda with a huge face, and he appears in picture books and anime.
