Illustrators—how do you handle potential clients wanting to “hop on a quick call” to talk through their project instead of answering questions over email? In my experience these are the projects that fall through after I give my time for free 💀

I think companies are very stupid. They don’t really know what illustration is so they don’t know how those skills translate—I think you need someone on the inside to recommend you so you can get the chance to explain that translation. You would be a killer AD!!!
