SCREAMING!!!!

The things I write as I'm waiting for my dentist's appointment in the waiting room, right by a full body mirror. Dang, it's the first time in my life that I look at my reflection and I see a woman. I love humans so much.

I love seeing pictures from when I was younger, but I do not wish to maintain my youth. I love her for who she was, and I need her to stay in the past. 🌱

I love seeing myself change with age -because I never EVER forget that is a privilege. When I first noticed that I have crow's feet around my eyes when I smile, I was so moved by the fact that my body is growing and changing.

I genuinely think society's obsession with looking young is one of the most soulless marketing schemes. I keep saying that the older I get the more beautiful I believe that look, and people seem to agree, but only after thinking about it for a brief second.

Ugh so true!! I just wish technology would be used solely to keep humanity notified, aware and in touch. I can't stand how everything just has to be monetised nowadays...

Let's hope 2025 finds me with more art and the courage to share it with the people that wish to see it 🙏

My stomach feels much better, so now I feel like it's time to heal my brain. I started setting ground for this newfound mindset in October and I can already feel some of the effects of dopamine addiction subsiding.

I stopped a lot of bad habits in 2024. A lot of them had to do with my gut health, like cutting on soda, sugar, white grains, and even coffee. Morning tea feels so much better than the adrenaline rush and heart palpitations that coffee gave me.

I struggle a lot with posting the artwork I make, plus I haven't had the time to make a lot of things I genuinely feel proud of as of lately. I think my toxic relationship with social media (plus the AI craze) played a big part in my subconscious decision of inaction.

In an effort to reclaim some of my sanity, I deleted a lot of apps from my phone, including X and Facebook. I can only hope this is the beginning of something greater for me -an everyday life stripped from society's addiction to meaningless technology and monitored activities.
