I know everyone scorns the use of AI, but why not punch in your symptoms to ChatGPT and see if it can point you in the right direction? Read about the big ones - anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, BPD, PMDD etc and see if anything resonates. Try a different therapist. Don’t give up on yourself. 🌻

So I’m going to put a call out once. If there’s anyone out there with #fibromyalgia who is doing #keto or low carb, who wants to share recipes in a space where weight is not even talked about, then let’s be moots.

Obviously the discourse around body positivity and health at any size is excellent, but there’s so much inherent shame around being plus size or fat and it seeps into every aspect of life when you’re a plus size or fat person.

Fibro is often comorbid with weight gain, chronic fatigue, depression and anxiety, and other conditions that can make folk more susceptible to disregulated self image. Basically, it makes me feel shitty about myself: limited, trapped, and weak. I don’t need shame on top of that.

It goes without saying, though, that diet culture is completely rancid, and unfortunately that odour spills into just about every recipe sharing group associated with keto or low carb. It’s a toxic space for a lot of people, and fibro sufferers are no exception.

If you know anything about the keto diet you’ll know it’s kind of restrictive. So finding good and trustworthy recipes is a godsend! It makes my life so much happier to add another fun thing to eat/make. Eggs everyday can get a bit tedious.
