Spent the day fixing a handful of bugs that were each faster to fix than to triage.
Feeling slightly guilty about the other work I put off, but net positive.

Working across shared Xcode and shared Github (in Chrome) at the same time.

Putting shared apps in separate windows from the video call is worse for the "presentation" use case but better for "doing work."

Eg Working across apps: Discuss a PR in GitHub while your partner is adjusting in Xcode: You can both share, arrange & Command+Tab between content.

Well, we shipped it!

Our thinking:
- Screen sharing is outdated & passive. Works best for presos or 1-way lectures.
- We tried to reimagine what screen sharing for building together looks like. It should feel natural to interact with what’s shared.

I like this if paired with a “end of unseen posts indicator.”

But I think you said it:
- I want this so I can “catch up” and log off
- But the platform wants me scrolling for longer

So maybe this is finally possible with a third party client on a decentralized platform!

Interesting! I’ve seen a few things somewhat like this around, but it’s always been streamed from another machine, not sandboxed.

Curious if the Fuchsia demo had a plan for real-time multiplayer?

What if you could beam your apps onto a teammate’s computer?

One approach: Instead of letterboxed screenshare, give shared apps their own window and dedicated dock icon.
