Unfortunately the Keir Starmer we got wasn’t the least like β€œsomeone like Keir Starmer”

Said Starmer to Morgan from Cork
We now really must have a talk
β€œYou must pay the price
For your shocking advice”
So now Dear McSweeny please walk”

Do you mean that sort of thing

β€œNah! We just need to wait until the media moves on and then … Oh shit! We’ve fallen into another blindingly obvious elephant trap despite a very large sign saying β€œElephant Trap” because the lads … Sorry I mean our highly experienced advisory team told us that elephant traps are no biggy”

It’s the age old problem of working out
what the question is you need to ask,
what answer the data is pointing you towards
and, as the supplicants at Delphi realised sooner or later, what that answer means.

So asylum seekers, who are not illegal immigrants because they have the legal status of immigrants who have claimed asylum, can use taxis. Am I reading this right?

England HAD a deserved reputation for lack of discipline when defending their line. They have been getting away from that in recent games and their play and reputation have improved. This was a step back and, my original point, fair or not, they cannot afford it against France.

My post was about the impact of ENGLISH indiscipline on their chances against France

Ok. My original point was about England’s performance. Both the penalties, as I recall, were not bad but they were deliberate and intended to disrupt a Welsh try. He was strict but within bounds. England have built a reputation for this behaviour. Refs will not give them the benefit of the doubt.

The neck roll by the England forward we deliberate and bound to be caught. The ref had no choice. Itoji was unlucky. It was pretty well his first touch but England had just been warned after multiple penalties. When the ref had discretion he seemed to use it reasonably.

and indiscipline leading to two yellow cards against a disciplined French team will be disastrous

Just listened to a Radio 4 More or Less trashing er sorry debunking Tim Montgomery lying about the number of Social Security claimants. Any pollution QT or similar shared interview panels needs to say β€œxxx has a habit of spouting untrue statistics. We can assume this isn’t true either”

I am available for any panel discussions to put the counter case, based on my particular perspective, that it is not, in fact, raining and that the idea that it raining is a metropolitan elitist view.

The govt’s problem is that they don’t want to explain to the public that the cause of these long taxi journeys is the incompetence of the Home Office in moving asylum seekers around all the time. 2/2

This strikes me as being less about causes of crossings as about fairness of treatment when asylum seekers are here. The public see asylum seekers getting free transport to hospital when they have to pay for that themselves. 1/2

I would say
1. Management systems need managers not β€œfront line staff”
2. Management systems need systems designed and implemented by guess who.

This is a classic example of short term savings leading to long term costs.

But I think you knew that.
