Amid #tariff chaos this week, Left MEPs, including Sinn Féin, voted against a decision by the European Parliament's Trade Committee to continue duty-free imports of Ukrainian #steel into the EU – an important part of EU support for #Ukraine. Far-right MEPs also voted against.

It is not enough to acknowledge that Europe’s fate is being decided on Ukrainian soil. We must act decisively to ensure Ukraine’s victory and secure the broadest possible international support.

“From the outset, the @eppgroup.bsky.social was clear that we could not accept attempts by EU Member States to cut €1.52 billion from the Union's draft budget for 2025", said Andrzej Halicki MEP, EPP Group Vice-Chair.
