the fact that a sitting US president is talking about antifascism being terrorism should tell you a lot about what he thinks his own government represents

maybe he's acknowledging that all those folks are not conservative, they're authoritarian

the proposed language includes "incitement" based on "the belief that opposing [trans care] ... poses an imminent threat to [trans people's] safety".

does just stating this "belief" (read: evidence-based fact) constitute incitement? I wouldn't put it past them to make that argument

The trans partner of Tyler Robinson had no knowledge about it and was told to delete messages but didn't and instead turned them immediately over to the police and cooperated.

Yet, the right is demonizing her and blame everything on trans people despite the trans person here doing the right thing.

it reminds me of what I heard about the satanic panic back in the 80's I think it was. or the red scare. hopefully it'll be soon that society realizes how insane it is to fish for any possible connection to a trans person, no matter how much a stretch, in order to blame us for everything

Promoting false information that ties our LGBTQ+ community to the Utah shooting is reckless, irresponsible, and puts trans people especially in danger.

Anyone with a platform must do better. Lives are on the line.

Of course, because propaganda doesn't work well unless you remove the truth first.

How petty and evil you have to be to keep enforcing arrests against people wanting to commemorate a tragedy?

I sent the article to some of my cis friends who were singing Newsom's praises. so far no reaction from them at all. I think it's inconvenient to have to consider what this means for trans folks.

A few people had questions of some of the states on my map such as NY/CA/IL moving up in risk for trans youth.

If a state has moved up in risk, it's because of clinic closures at major clinics.

I cannot in good faith keep a state low risk if state laws are not being enforced to keep clinics open.
