It doesn't matter if genitalia form surgically or by hormones, it's just flesh and nerves. The molecules aren't different between them. Male and females form from the same, only difference between is shape and fertility. And many cis aren't fertile either.

You do realise that no one "removes" genitals in sex change. There is no nerve or flesh section in the female body different to the male body, they're both homologues that "change" to different structures based on natal hormones. Intersex people are a proof of that, too.
