Scottish Prem looks a bit mad:
Hibs have won just 2 of 8 and are third top.
Motherwell have lost just 2 of 8 and are third bottom.
So many draws. Rangers with 6 from 8. Hearts top.

Itโs got some incredible lines.
Just the sheer breadth of characters, from Doug Rocket to his flatmate Toby, Noel Fielding, the guys from Sugar Ape, Kevin Eldon and Elizabeth the catโฆ every element of their characters, every line, every word, it all feels so considered and accurate.
๐ haha thanks! Although I dunnoโฆ Iโve used a few choice expressions in the office, albeit quoting the show rather than *actually* meaning them. But to someone who doesnโt know that, theyโll probably take me at face value and think Iโm a prannock
23.10.2025 09:16 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Been re-watching Nathan Barley (again). Absurd to think it panned at the time - the writing is incredible, every character (including the most peripheral) has so much depth, the casting is phenomenalโฆ
The world just wasnโt ready for it. Not for at least 20 years, anyway.
Another victory for Total Touches Inside The Opposition Box!

Bit late to the party on this one, but wanted to share.
When BANNAN came on, the sweary guy next to me shouts: "Fuck off you scotch cunt! And take your haggis with you!"
Then turns to his mate and says (in a lower and maturer tone): "He's a good little player, though."
Made me chuckle.

15.09.2025 11:36 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I fear the Hull version of anything will always sound less appealing.
Reminds me of a football-mad Hull boy who got pink gloves for his birthday from his aunt (who wasnโt from Hull).
Confused why he was upset, he reiterated his request - that he wanted a pair of โgirlyโ (goalie) gloves.
Just had turd in hurl.
Or toad in the hole, if youโre not from Hull.
If I ever bothered to start and maintain my niche league table for absolutely shite referees who give us penalties, todayโs would be right up there. #GTFC

He sounds a bit unhinged. Compare that style to David Artellโs. Whoโd you rather report into?

Iโm on the BBC Sport app, havenโt even clicked on the football tab yet, and I can see FOUR articles dedicated to Man Utdโs defeat to Arsenal yesterday.
There were other games, and there are other sports, out there.
I work with a lot of Man Utd fans. We never thought our paths would cross, so today has beenโฆ interesting.
As Iโm sure the next two weeks will be.

Haha eerily correct! He was batting with six runs needed.
Iโd backed India before the fourth innings began. I know weโre good chasing but still, I didnโt think weโd do it really.
Not that thatโs any consolation. I was desperate for us to win, given how it went. Woakes was incredibly brave.
Still canโt get over the fact that wherever we play, and whenever we go into a fourth innings, one commentator will say how the record chase on this ground is a very modest total. And thatโs in this history of the sport. Pitches have changed, but mindset probably more so, as you say.
03.08.2025 16:35 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Iโm beginning to think that might not be required now, but never say never!
I just think each of the five tests has been amazing, all but this has gone the distance and into the fifth day.
Outrageous that India have scored so many runs yet could lose the series 3-1.
Canโt help but think that if this test series was against the Aussies, theyโd be saying this was one of the most remarkable Ashes series ever.
I get that this isnโt a classic India test team, but each test, in and of themselves, has been a cracker.
Great performance and result from the Mariners today. What a lovely way to start a new season!
Telling thing for me was just three debutants in starting XI.
Just two new signings on a bench of seven. Canโt remember the last time we went into a new season with such consistency in personnel. #gtfc
