I recently overhauled my website, since my former hosting company (overall great and very inexpensive) wasn't keeping up with the technology I needed to keep my old Wordpress site updated.

Still alive and kicking, though I've been mostly preoccupied with physically recovering from this second broken ankle and emotionally processing unmasking as a very late-in-life diagnosed AuDHD woman.

Feeling MUCH better and I've moved back upstairs now I can walk and do stairs mostly unaided.

One has to love the sheer poetic justice of this. Such a great karmic gift for Black History Month, too.

My first and definitely last time working with the Los Angeles Times. Editing out the most urgent point of an OpEd in the minutes before sending to press while then also assigning a title and image that suggest an argument entirely opposite to the author’s clear intent is pretty shitty.

Susan Cooper, Mercedes Lackey, Anne McCaffrey, and Patricia C. Wrede were the authors who definitely inspired my initial love for fantasy and science fiction. :)
